In 1992, Rosa and Antonio founded AlterNativa3, Spain's first Fairtrade roastery. Fair trade, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility have been the principles of the family business since day one. Even today, AlterNativa3 remains the only roastery in Spain that exclusively produces Fairtrade-certified products.
Local commitment
AlterNativa3 regularly visits the farmers' cooperatives in the producing countries and supports local social projects such as scholarships for students or reading corners and IT equipment for schools.
